Visit us

Let Us Fill Your Glass!

We invite you to join us in the cellar at Ayres for an intimate tasting with Brad McLeroy, our winemaker.

For indoor tastings, we are open by appointment only, and tastings are scheduled between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. We will be accepting limited appointments from May until the onset of Harvest. Please note that if you are a smaller tasting party, you may be paired with another group to accommodate requests. Limited outdoor tastings are available between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. All tastings take place with our winemaker and involve an in-depth exploration of the Ribbon Ridge AVA and how our wines express themselves as part of Oregon’s most exclusive growing region. Please allow approximately 90 minutes for the full Ayres experience.

The current release flight is $30 per person and the library selection is $50 per person.

Tastings fees can be applied to the purchase of two or more bottles per one tasting fee.

All members in the tasting party must choose the same tasting menu.

Please contact us via the form below to request a tasting appointment. We will confirm all tastings by email or phone.

At this time we are not allowing children on site to keep numbers low and accommodate as many groups as possible. We are not allowing off-site food in order to keep the focus on the wine tasting. Dogs are limited to service animals only.

We do not serve food or offer picnic facilities, but we would be happy to recommend some great food options nearby!

Tasting at Ayres is like coming home. Literally. Everyone who tastes here gets a sneak peek into our daily life. You see our vines, our garden, our son likely practicing baseball on his own field of dreams. Once you enter our underground winery, Brad greets you with a smile, pours you a taste, and shares a story or two. Year after year, guests are surprised by what’s happening on the family farm. Many guests take the time to tell us it was the highlight of their trip.

GPS technology will often lead you astray. It will get you most of the way, but not all the way. Please refer to the directions below.

From Newberg: Take Highway 99 to Newberg

At the south end of Newberg on Highway 99, you will come to the intersection of Highway 99 and Highway 240. Turn west in the direction of Chehalem Valley/Yamhill.

Travel about 4 miles on Highway 240 to Dopp Road. There is a green road side sign with an airplane pointing toward a small airport just before Dopp Road. Turn north (there is only one way to turn) onto Dopp Road and go about 0.8 miles until you come to the intersection with North Valley Road. Ewing Young School is at the intersection.

Turn west onto North Valley and go about 0.3 miles until you come to the intersection with Lewis Rogers Lane; there is a church at the intersection. Turn north (there is only one way to turn) on Lewis Rogers Lane and travel about 1.5 miles. Along the way you will make a sharp left turn to the west and go up a hill. We are at the top of the hill.

There is an Ayres Vineyard sign at the entrance to the property. You will turn south through our gates. Go all the way to the end of the driveway as the winery is located beneath the second home on the property.

Welcome to Ayres Vineyard & Winery!
